ElizabethShort.com / HollywoodsBrokenDoll.com is currently being developed and is planned for release in mid-2007. This site will be a compilation of the information I've been able to gather about Los Angeles' most notorious unsolved murder, that being of Elizabeth Short, commonly referred to as "The Black Dahlia".

I was introduced to this crime in 1991 when I read James Ellroy's fictional novel The Black Dahlia, which was inspired by this case and recently made in to a major motion picture. Like many before, I too had to find out more. In the years that followed, I have gathered every book and published work on this case that I could find.

A web site's development process is long and there is a ton of content to go through. While this process is in progress, I encourage you to learn more. List below are "Black Dahlia" related publications, music and films for your own research.

Thank You. If you are able, please send a small donation in honor of Elizabeth Short to an organization that benefits abused and homeless women of Elizabeth's hometown, Medford Mass.:

Non-Fiction
Some books focus soley on the Black Dahlia case, while others contain chapters or highlights.

Fiction

FILM

<< Mentions "Black Dahlia".
<< Great movie, offers a nice visual for that time time and interesting story. Has no real relevance to the BD case other than the LAPD connection, but something relates them for me although I do not know what.
